Informational material for the listing of School Board Members/School Board Trustees was obtained from the Superintendent of Schools at the Garland Independent School District. The listings were secured from Board Notes by at least two secretaries to the Superintendent. The secretaries to the superintendent and clerk to the School Board were Elissa Norris and Perilynn Gilliam. The two lists are entitled School Board Members and School Board Member History, (Partial). The source for these lists are listed as School Board Clerk's Notes. Further research on the names of School Board Members and the years in which they served the Garland Independent School District was researched by Nelda Gentsch.

Listed below are the research materials used in the placement of School Board Members and the years they served in the Garland Independent School District.
