Motor Bike

A motor bike and unidentified rider were photographed on the C. M. Tucker farm, then situated northeast of Garland, probably in the mid ‘teens. The bike’s headlamp was fired by acetylene, produced by dripping water onto calcium carbide in its gas generating tank. The rider controlled his light’s brightness by adjusting the tank’s water flow.
