Peripherals
Both KRLD radio towers littered the facility’s grounds in December of 1948, after a guy wire snapped on the 492 ft. north tower and sent it crashing into its 475 ft. companion. That south tower had also toppled in January of 1940 during bitterly cold weather, but no personal injuries were recorded for either incident. The station erected the towers in 1937.
