City Meat Market stood on present Main St. at the E end of the square’s S side.  Likely pictured ca. 1906, when H. B. Shugart would have been the proprietor. Both the meat market and its frame-structured neighbor, H. B. Hicks’s Harness and Saddle, would have numbered among casualties of a fire in 1911.
