Santa Fe 11, coupled in tandem with a cab-less ‘B’ locomotive, was built for passenger service by General Motors’ Electro-Motive Division in 1939. Pictured northbound through central Garland during the late ‘40s, the unit was making a mid-day local loop between Dallas and Paris, TX during a layover between morning and evening connections between Chicago and Dallas
