This Cessna plane at Dallas’ Love Field was photographed June 14, 1949, the morning after flooding devastated Garland’s Duck Creek Shopping Village, as well as low-lying properties on either side. Focused on property damage and the deaths of four, Garlandites learned that rain, hail and winds had lashed a broad area. Reconstruction Finance Corporation offered loans for victims.
